Default Inbound Tunnel Advanced Settings

I noticed they are several advance check boxes under the advanced tab. I read the manual regarding these but not much detail is said about them nor does it state what the most secure setting is. Can anyone out there enlighten me on these check boxes? The check boxes I'm referring to are Automatic Accept All Policy, Hide Source (the manual explains this pretty good), IPS, and SYN cookies.

Automatic Policies - makes a policy to accept connectiond from any Ip to begining of the tunnel on port / protocol. You can see these in the Monitor -> Security policies section. The option now speicify soure on tunnel so you can use automatic policy ans specify where connection comes from.

IPS - Applies IPS policies from threatmanagement to the connections through tunnel.

SYN cookies - An advanced form syn flood protection. Bacically firewall respons on intial syn packet. If syn flood no real response will return so firewall does not allow connection in bound. If there is a response firewall allows connection.
